BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 14. In Turkmenistan, drilling of a new well has begun at the Uzynada oil and gas field located on the Caspian Sea coast in the Balkan region, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Shakhym Abdrakhmanov at an online meeting of the government.
The Deputy Chairman said that the drilling of a new well with a depth of 7,300 meters is being conducted by the Turkmennebit State Concern on the basis of geological exploration studies conducted by the Turkmengeology State Corporation.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. Its gas reserves have increased by 126 billion cubic meters as a result of the industrial development of recently discovered gas fields.
At the same time, the country pays great attention to the creation of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
