BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 30. Turkmenistan has received a new industrial inflow of natural gas from the Sheperli gas field located in the Mary region in the south-east of the country, Trend reports via “Business Turkmenistan” news agency.
Well No. 1 with a depth of 2,330 meters was drilled by specialists of the Turkmengazburawlayysh department of the Turkmengas State Concern.
As a result of the work done, an industrial inflow was obtained with a daily flow rate of 695,000 cubic meters of natural gas, which completely lacks hydrogen sulfide.
Furthermore, in the near future, the department plans to drill another well at the same gas field.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. Its gas reserves have increased by 126 billion cubic meters as a result of the industrial development of recently discovered gas fields.
