BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 29. The area of cultivated land for cotton in the Ahal region in the south of Turkmenistan has been published, Trend reports with reference to Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
This year, sowing by associations and farms of the region was carried out on an area of 135,000 hectares, from which it is planned to harvest 280,000 tons of cotton.
At the moment, in accordance with agrotechnical norms, processing and watering of plants, as well as their fertilizing.
Furthermore, specialists of farms in the region are taking practical measures to protect the cotton from pests and prevent plant diseases, and also keep under constant control the qualitative and timely implementation of agrotechnical measures for the care of crops.
