BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 6. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with representatives of large US companies, during which they discussed the further development of bilateral relations, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.

Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmen-US Business Council, as well as representatives of US companies General Electric Gas Power, John Deere, Nicklaus Companies, Smartmatic, Westport Trading Europe Limited and UGT Renewables took part in the meeting held in the capital of Turkmenistan Ashgabat.

During the meeting, representatives of US companies confirmed their desire to further develop productive ties with Turkmenistan, which has solid economic potential.

Berdimuhamedov noted that this visit of the head of the business council, headed by a representative delegation of American companies in Turkmenistan, is seen as the desire of the US business community to expand mutually beneficial cooperation.

He also expressed confidence that during his stay in Ashgabat, the US partners will have a good opportunity to meet with their Turkmen colleagues and exchange views on promising areas of cooperation.

At the same time, the parties confirmed their readiness to further enhance constructive diverse cooperation, including in such areas as trade, investment activities, and intensification of dialogue between business circles.
