BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. The total amount of transactions in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to about $51.9 million last week, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, entrepreneurs from the UAE, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan purchased aviation kerosene, liquefied gas, hydrotreated diesel fuel, unleaded gasoline, and heavy vacuum gas oil produced at the enterprises of the Turkmennebit State Concern.
Furthermore, business representatives from Türkiye and the UAE purchased cotton yarn, and from the UK and Afghanistan bought carbamide.
Turkmen businessmen have purchased products of the sericulture industry of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection for the domestic market in the amount of more than 12.1 million Turkmen manats ($3.45 million).
A total of 33 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
