BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 27. Turkmenistan has started using oil waste generated from the Goturdepe field for the production of iodine, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, at the moment, water from the field, which, according to the results of technical analysis after samples in laboratories show positive results, is sent to the iodine plant for further operation.
The Goturdepe field is the first to be exploited on an industrial scale in the country.
At the moment, it unites 15 wells, 5 of which were drilled and developed by specialists of Yug-Neftegaz Private Limited.
Meanwhile, recently Turkmen drillers commissioned another oil well number 253, and handed it over to the local field administration.
