BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 8. The enterprises of the oil industry of Turkmenistan exceeded the production plan from January through April 2023, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Ashirguly Begliyev at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on May 4.
According to him, during the reporting period, the plan for oil refining at plants in Turkmenistan was exceeded by 2.8 percent, for gasoline production – by 6.7 percent, diesel fuel – by 8.4 percent, and polypropylene – by 0.6 percent.
Furthermore, Begliyev noted that from January through April 2023, the plan to provide oil to the Turkmennebit State Concern was exceeded by 2 percent.
Meanwhile, according to the Turkmen Turkmengaz State Concern, the country's hydrocarbon resources are estimated at more than 71 billion tons of oil equivalent, of which more than 20 billion tons of oil and more than 50 trillion cubic meters of natural gas
