BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 10. The Chinese Relong Technology Co., Ltd. delivered to Turkmenistan a shell for dredging on the Caspian Sea coast near the city of Khazar, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, due to the plans for sustainable economic development and the need to ensure uninterrupted navigation on waterways, the demand for more dredging vessels in the Caspian Sea area will increase, and the company is ready to further increase supplies.
Large-scale works will help to make the coastal line more navigable for vessels of the port of Khazar. The new model of the Relong 650 Model CSD dredger has a productive capacity of 5000 m3/hour and is capable of reaching depths of up to 20 meters.
Shipping is one of the most important transport spheres of Turkmenistan. The country pays great attention to increasing the capacity of ports, purchasing new cargo ships, and launching new routes.
For example, the capacity of the terminal of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport in Turkmenistan has been increased to 400,000 containers per year. Free storage of containers for up to 60 days is provided in the terminal of the port, and a cargo storage service in the "customs warehouse" mode has been introduced, according to which goods imported into the territory of Turkmenistan can be stored under control for up to three years without payment of duties and taxes, as well as without the application of various prohibitions and restrictions of an economic nature.
