Turkmenistan, DABS and Çalık Holding discuss issues related to supply of electricity to Afghanistan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 11. The Turkmen delegation, representatives of the Afghan Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) energy company and Turkish Çalık Holding held a meeting in Kabul during which they discussed issues related to the supply of electricity to the Noor Al Jihad substation in Herat city (Afghanistan), Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.

According to the information, the meeting was attended by CEO of DABS Alhaj Mula Muhammad Hanif Hamza, head of the Turkmen delegation, Head of Turkmen Energy Ministry’s International Electricity Projects Department in the TAP direction Myrat Artykov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kabul Khoja Ovezov and representatives of the Turkish Çalık Holding.

Thus, the project on the transmission of electricity worth $3.2 million will be implemented by Turkmenistan and financed by DABS.

The Turkmenenergo State Electric Power Corporation of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan and DABS energy company signed an agreement in Ashgabat on January 23 to extend the supply of Turkmen electricity for 2023.
