BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. Farmers of the Lebap region of Turkmenistan begin harvesting a new wheat crop, Trend reports.

According to the official source of Turkmenistan, 130,000 hectares of land have been sown with wheat in the region this season.

Furthermore, 35 points of reception of agricultural products are currently in readiness in the region, and almost 420 harvesters have been serviced.

The wheat harvest in the region will be transported to grain reception points in total about 1,800 units of vehicles.

The agricultural sector in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly. This is one of the most important sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan. The main types of agricultural crops grown on the territory of Turkmenistan are wheat, cotton, rice, sugar beet, fodder, vegetable, melon, fruit, and berry crops.
