ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 21. South Korean Daewoo E&C plans to open a branch in Turkmenistan in September - October this year, Trend reports.
According to official information, the opening of a new branch will allow the company to establish closer relations with the government of Turkmenistan and establish cooperation on projects faster.
Meanwhile, at the headquarters of Daewoo E&C in Seoul, a meeting was held with an economic delegation from Turkmenistan on July 17, which included the Chairman of the Board of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of the country Rakhimberdi Dzhepbarov, Chairman of the Turkmenhimiya State Concern Dovrangeldy Sapbaev and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymyrat Annamamedov.
During the meeting, Chairman of the Board of Daewoo E&C Chong Jong Won-ju noted that the company's employees are doing everything possible to ensure the successful conclusion of contracts for the design, purchase and construction of two fertilizer plants, which are actively promoted by Daewoo.
South Korea intends to build a plant for the production of phosphorus fertilizers in the city of Turkmenabat in the eastern Lebap region and a plant for the production of carbamide and ammonia fertilizers in the Balkan region of Turkmenistan.
