Chemical plant exceeds plan for phosphorous mineral fertilizer production in Turkmenistan

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 26. The Turkmenabat chemical plant, named after Saparmurat Niyazov and located in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, produced 135,000 tons of phosphorous mineral fertilizers from January through June 2023, Trend reports.

According to the official source in Turkmenistan, during the reporting period, the plant exceeded the production plan by 6.7 percent.

The planned indicators for the plant for the first six months of this year are 126,500 tons of phosphorous mineral fertilizers.

Furthermore, the plant manufactured 186 tons of electrolyte during the reporting period, and its growth rate exceeded 60 percent compared to this period last year.

At the same time, 46,000 tons of sulfuric acid and 200 tons of oxyhumate, a liquid plant growth regulator, were produced at the plant from January through June this year.

The Turkmenabat chemical plant, named after Saparmurat Niyazov, is the only production enterprise in Turkmenistan for the production of phosphorus fertilizers necessary to increase the yield of cotton, grain, and other agricultural crops.
