Turkmenistan sells sizable polypropylene to entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Georgia

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 1. Turkmenistan has sold a large batch of polypropylene to entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Georgia on its commodity exchange, Trend reports.

According to official data, entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Georgia purchased 3,000 tons of polypropylene at a price of $1,000 per ton. The total value of transactions amounted to $3 million.

All the polypropylene sold was produced at the enterprises of Turkmenistan's Turkmennebit State Concern.

At the same time, businessmen from Türkiye bought cotton yarn of Turkmen production on the exchange for a total of $2.8 million.

Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. The country pays great attention to the construction of oil and gas processing plants as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
