ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 8. Turkmenistan sold 12,000 tons of polypropylene to foreign businessmen in August through its commodity exchange, Trend reports.
The country sold $12 million worth of polypropylene from its own production to foreign entrepreneurs during this period.
In particular, the amount of polypropylene sold by Turkmenistan to foreign enterprises is 5.8 percent of the total number of sales of raw materials on the state commodity exchange.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. The country pays great attention to the construction of oil and gas processing plants as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
