ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 13. Turkmenistan brought in plastic and rubber products from EU countries with a total value of 10.29 million euros from January through July 2023, the source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
According to the information, these figures in the reporting period are 21.6 percent higher than in the first seven months of last year (8.46 million euros).
Turkmenistan imported plastic and rubber products from EU countries in July in the amount of 953.745 euros, which is 19.8 percent, or over 200,000 euros less than in June 2023 (1.19 million euros).
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan increased its imports from EU countries by 20.4 percent in the first seven months of this year compared to the period from January through July 2022 (318.43 million euros), reaching a total of 383.5 million euros.
Trade between Turkmenistan and the EU member states totaled more than 881.39 million euros from January through July 2023, which is 63.9 percent more than the same period last year (537.58 million euros).
