ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 20. Turkmenistan brought in chemical industry merchandise valued at 18.13 million euros from France from January through July 2023, a source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
During the reporting period, these statistics are 9-fold higher compared to the first seven months of the previous year (2.01 million euros).
According to the statistical office, in July 2023, Turkmenistan imported chemical industry products from France in the amount of 1.44 million euros, which is 3.7 times less than in June 2023 (5.45 million euros).
At the same time, Turkmenistan increased its imports from France 3.1 times in the first seven months of 2023 compared to the same period of 2022 (12.71 million euros), resulting in imports amounting to 40.41 million euros.
Meanwhile, in the first seven months of 2023, the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and France exceeded 46.14 million euros, which is 2.8 times more than in the corresponding period of the previous year, when it amounted to 16.16 million euros.
