ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 25. Turkmenistan will discuss with other Central Asian countries the preparation of electric power facilities for the autumn-winter season of 2023-2024, Trend reports.
These issues will be discussed at the upcoming 40th meeting of the Central Asian Coordination Electricity Council in Samarkand from October 25 through October 26 this year.
The meeting will be attended by heads and representatives of electric power organizations in Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
At the same time, experts from Russia were also invited to the meeting of the coordinating council as observers.
The meeting will discuss in detail the work done to prepare for the next autumn-winter season, ensuring the stability of electricity supply in the Central Asian energy ring system, connecting renewable energy sources to the electric grid and their proper operation, as well as prospects for the rational use of water resources in the region.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan is strategically developing its electric power sector, investing in the expansion of generation, modernization of infrastructure, and diversification of energy sources. This makes it possible to ensure a stable and reliable energy supply to the country, contribute to economic growth, and improve the standard of living of the population.
