EBRD revamps project portfolio in Turkmenistan

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, April 20. The existing loan portfolio for projects supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Turkmenistan is valued at approximately 26 million euros, Trend reports.

According to the bank, the loan portfolio is intended for the completion of 21 projects.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's portfolio encompasses a diverse array of investments across multiple sectors of the economy.

Most of the project portfolio (amounting to 85 percent, equivalent to about 22 million euros) is intended for investments in industry, commerce, and agribusiness, while the remaining 15 percent (equivalent to 4 million euros) is intended for investments in financial institutions.

Meanwhile, the EBRD emphasizes that the entire existing investment portfolio is directed to the private sector of Turkmenistan.

The total volume of the bank's investments in Turkmenistan exceeds 335 million euros and covers 87 different projects.
