Uzbekistan Renders Humanitarian Aid to South Ossetia
Uzbekistan, Tashkent, 18 August / Trend corr. T.Zhukov / The Uzbek President Islam Karimov instructed the government to allocate $250,000 to render humanitarian aid to South Ossetia people, who were injured during the military action. The Emergency Situation Ministry was given relevant instructions, the Ministry told Trend .
The Ministry was assigned to deliver humanitarian cargo to this region. Uzbekistan plans to deliver construction materials, including cement, as well as food products, medicines, bed belongings and other goods to the region.
According to the Ministry, three flights with humanitarian cargo are expected to be sent to the conflict zone.
