No Uzbek citizens were among the victims of the tragedy that occurred near Mecca, the press service of the committee for religious affairs under the government of the country said.
It was reported that more than 700 people were killed in the valley of Mina in Saudi Arabia as a result of a stampede Sept. 24, according to recent data.
"During the incident, our pilgrims were coming back from the valley of Muzdalifah to Mina," said the message. "No Uzbek pilgrims were injured, and they continue to make the pilgrimage."
Earlier it was reported that 5,200 Muslims from Uzbekistan will make this year's pilgrimage to Mecca.
