President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov arrived on a visit to Ashgabat Dec.11 at the invitation of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov, the Uzbek national news agency (UzA) reported.
The Uzbek president will take part in the international conference "The policy of neutrality: international cooperation for peace, security and development" dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the recognition of the permanent neutrality status of Turkmenistan by the UN General Assembly.
