Uzbekistan will form a working group that will develop proposals for the introduction of a new system of foreign trade regulation, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade in Uzbekistan.
A regular meeting of the Council on Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation of Foreign Trade was held at the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, during which the issues of reducing the rates of import customs duties for technological equipment and components in the textile industry were discussed.
It was also offered to nullify the recycling fee for certain commodity items, and the appeals of business entities to change import customs duties on a number of goods were considered.
Members of the Council noted the need to develop a unified approach to ensure a competitive environment in the domestic and foreign markets.
Measures will be taken to improve technical regulation and regulations of products and production processes in accordance with international standards.
It was decided to form a working group that will develop proposals for the introduction of a new system of foreign trade regulation. The system will have a more flexible mechanism for making operational decisions in the field of foreign economic activity.
