The Russian Pharmsyntez company is ready to invest up to $50 million in the creation of the production of cancer medicines in Uzbekistan, President of the Pharmsintez group of companies Vikram Singh Punia said.
Punia made the remark during the INNOPROM industrial exhibition in Tashkent, Trend reports referring to Podrobno.uz news website.
“The Russian companies are ready to create modern production of pharmaceuticals in Uzbekistan,” Punia added. “However, to stimulate this process, motivation from the Uzbek side, and, in particular, the conclusion of public-private partnership contracts, guaranteeing the purchase of medicines, the production of which will be arranged at new capacities are required.”
"We are ready to localize the production of cancer medicines in Uzbekistan,” the president of the Pharmsyntez group of companies added. “For this purpose, in accordance with our calculations, we need $30-50 million. If there is a public-private partnership system that guarantees the purchase of these medicines, we are ready to invest these funds and launch such production in Uzbekistan."
