Uzbekistan and Eurasian Economic Union sign plan of joint events for 2021-2023

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the government of Uzbekistan, as well as a Plan of Joint Events for 2021-2023, Trend reports with reference to Uzbek government portal.

On April 30, 2021, a delegation headed by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov took part in a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, held in Kazan (Russia).

The head of Uzbek delegation noted that the status of an observer state allows Uzbekistan to objectively and comprehensively study the integration processes in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), open up new opportunities for closer cooperation.

Also, it was noted that today over 3,000 enterprises with the participation of the capital of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union are operating successfully in Uzbekistan, joint projects are being implemented in many sectors of the economy.

An example of cooperation with the EAEU was the holding on April 5 of this year in Tashkent of the 3rd meeting of the Council for Industrial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the government of Uzbekistan, as well as a Plan of Joint Events for 2021-2023.
