The State Committee for Defense Industry of Uzbekistan intends to involve Chinese technologies in joint projects, Trend reports with reference to the ministry's press service.
It is reported that a delegation from the General Directorate for the Development of Arms and Military Equipment of the Central Military Council of China is currently in Tashkent.
During the visit, officials of Uzbekistan and China will discuss existing and future cooperation projects in the field of weapons, military equipment and technologies, the timing of their implementation and the systematic development of cooperation, the report said.
During the visit, the Chinese delegation presented military and dual-use products manufactured by enterprises of the defense-industrial complex of Uzbekistan.
The countries have recently been actively building up and expanding cooperation with each other in various fields.
Thus, at the end of March, the authorities of Uzbekistan and China had an online exhibition dedicated to the fight against poverty.
Ties are strengthening, including in the field of trade - Uzbekistan plans to expand the range of products exported to China (lemons, grapes, plums, peaches, persimmons, etc. will be supplied).
In addition, at the end of last year, China also delivered modern freight and cargo-passenger locomotives to Uzbekistan.
