The Chinese CONCH corporation, specializing in the production of cement has begun construction of a new plant in the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing Uzbek Media.
For the implementation of the project for the construction of the plant, 183.3 hectares of land were allocated for the development of quarries and 34.2 hectares for the construction of the enterprise.
After the completion of the project, 400 new job positions will be created. The plant will produce 2.5 million tonnes of cement per year.
The Chinese side has already imported more than 40 special machines and equipment to Uzbekistan worth $16.7 million. In total, the Chinese company intends to invest $200 million in the implementation of the project.
