Uzbek JSC considers prospects for further co-op with KPMG

KPMG international auditing company and Uzbek Thermal Power Plants JSC considered prospects for further cooperation,Trend reports via Uzbek Ministry of Energy.

Within the framework of the international exhibition "Dubai - EXPO 2020" (UAE), Uzbek company and KPMG held negotiations on the implementation of promising projects.

Chairman of the Board of Thermal Power Plants Farhod Abdurakhmanov and Head of KPMG for the CIS countries Vasily Savin discussed the issues of accelerating the transformation of public procurement at JSC and ensuring the transition to international financial reporting standards.

The main goal of the work carried out in this direction is to obtain international credit ratings and the introduction of large investment projects by increasing the financial attractiveness of the company.

To date, the assessment of the company's assets based on international standards at real value has been completed.

Currently, together with KPMG, work is underway to develop a short-term and long-term development strategy and a financial model through the development of the company's corporate governance in the following areas:

• Support for strategic planning;
• Support for the implementation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards);
• Support amplification matching function;
• Improving the information disclosure system;
• Improving the learning and assessment process
