BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. The volume of Uzbekistan’s trade turnover with the CIS countries amounted to $5.4 billion from January through April 2022, which is an increase of 29.6 percent compared to the same period last year ($4.2 billion), Trend reports citing the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
From January through April 2022, exports from Uzbekistan to the CIS countries amounted to $1.7 billion, while imports from these countries amounted to $3.7 billion.
During this period, trade turnover with other countries increased by 1.8 times compared to the same period of 2021 ($6.4 billion), reaching $11.7 billion.
Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover from January through April 2022 amounted to $17.2 billion, which is an increase of 61.2 percent compared to the same period of 2021 ($10.6 billion).
