BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. Uzbekistan has exported 221,427 tons of fruits and vegetables to Russia from January through July 2022, Russian Rosselkhoznadzor Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance told Trend.
In 7 months of 2022, 38,400 tons of nectarines, 24,900 tons of tomatoes, 22,000 tons of white cabbage were exported from Uzbekistan to Russia.
Over the specified period, export volumes of fruit and vegetables from Uzbekistan to Russia increased by 14 percent compared to the same period last year.
“Currently, there are no restrictions on the import of any fruit and vegetable products from Uzbekistan,” Rosselkhoznadzor reports.
Rosselkhoznadzor is a federal executive body carrying out functions on control and supervision in the veterinary field: establishment and lifting of phytosanitary quarantine zones, control of pesticide and agrochemical application, maintenance of soil fertility, cultivation achievements, protection, reproduction and use of animal objects and aquatic biological resources, and protection of humans from animal infectious diseases.
