BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 22. Large industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan produced 3.4 million tons of coal from January through August 2022, Trend reports via the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
During the corresponding period, the largest share of coal production by the enterprises fell in the Tashkent region (95.1 percent), the production volume amounted to 3.2 million tons.
Uzbekistan provided 3.5 million tons of coal from January through August 2022 for the needs of the population.
For the autumn-winter season, the state plans to sell an additional 882,000 tons of locally mined coal to the population.
