BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. International Financial Institutions plan to allocate $100,000 for the cultivation of saffron in Uzbekistan’s Sokh district, Trend reports via the Uzbek Ministry of Agriculture.
According to the ministry, in the "Sokh saffron export" production cooperation of the country’s Sokh district of the Fergana region, large-scale work is underway to grow medicinal plants.
At present, 12 hectares of land have been allocated to the workers of the cooperative in the Vargan array, where saffron cultivation is in full swing.
