BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. A total of 871,000 foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes from January through February 2023, Trend reports via the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The committee notes that, during the reporting period, the number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan increased by 544,400 people, or 2.7 times, compared to the same period in 2022.

In January 2023, about 423,700 foreigners visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes, which is 2.5 times more than in the same period last year.
In 2022 some 5.2 million foreigners visited Uzbekistan. This figure increased 2.8 times, compared to the figure for 2021.
Tourists from countries such as Russia (567,700 people), Türkiye (75,600 people), South Korea (19,900 people), Germany (17,700 people), India (16,800 people), Kazakhstan (15,511 people), Tajikistan (14,478 people), Kyrgyzstan (13, 569 people), USA (13,100 people), France (11,000 people), UK (10,500 people), Italy (8,800 people), Spain (6,300 people), and China (5,400 people) visited Uzbekistan in 2022.
