BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4. German Linde company will assist Uzbekistan’s Navoiazot plant in the implementation of "installation of air separation equipment”, following the agreement that was reached during the Uzbek-German business forum held in Berlin on May 2, Trend reports via "Uzkimyosanoat" JSC.
The source says that Linde will participate in this project as the main investor, the main shareholder (51 percent), as well as the main contractor.
According to preliminary estimates, the project's investment is estimated at $90 million. The launch of the new air separation equipment is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.
It is expected that after the commissioning of the system, the plant will receive more than 800,000 cubic meters of gaseous oxygen and nitrogen. At the same time, 91 million kWh of electricity will be saved per year.
Furthermore, following the results of the business forum, in addition to the above-mentioned agreements, Uzbekistan and Germany as a whole signed a package of agreements worth about 9 billion euros on the implementation of projects in various fields.
