BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 8. Foreign companies providing electronic services in Uzbekistan paid taxes totaling 32.4 billion soums ($2.8 million) from January through April 2023, which is an increase of 1.6 times more than in the same period in 2022, Trend reports via the press service of Uzbekistan’s Tax Committee.

The committee notes that of the 42 foreign companies providing electronic services in Uzbekistan, in the reporting period, Meta(Facebook, Instagram) paid the most taxes – 12.1 billion soums or $1.05 million.

Google LLC with 9.3 billion soums ($812,702) paid taxes during the reporting period, ranked second, with Apple was third with more than 6 billion soums ($524,292) of paid taxes.

Of the total amount of taxes paid by foreign companies providing electronic services during the first four months of 2023, 95 percent is accounted for the following largest companies:

Meanwhile, from January through November 2022, foreign companies providing electronic services in Uzbekistan paid taxes totaling 44.8 billion soums ($3.9 million), increasing by 2 times year-on-year.
