BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 26. Uzbekistan's Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex (SGCC) is expected to start saving more electricity - up by 15 percent per year, Trend reports.

As a result of the work carried out by Uzbekneftegaz national company, which operates the facility, it is expected that, this year, saving on hydrogen gas will increase by 44 percent, methane gas – by 6, compressed propane-butane – by 100 percent, regeneration gas (methane + hydrogen) – 1.5 percent, thermal energy – by 7 percent, water – by 4 percent.

According to the action plan, energy savings are expected due to the following sources: the installation of a solar power plant with a total capacity of 2.04 MW per year – 4,430 million MW; the installation of solar water heaters – 4 million MW; the installation of frequency control units – 878,000 kW; the efficient use of energy during the processes of continuous operation of technological installations – 3.8 million MW; installing solar panels on street lamps of various capacities – 331,000 kW; the installation of motion sensors on lighting fixtures – 6.4 million kW; the shutdown of existing electric pumps used in technological processes – 266,000 kW; replacing pumping units with economical ones – 3.8 million MW.

The facility also plans to save 6,264 400 cubic meters of gas due to monitoring of boiler and furnace fuel, rational use of technological equipment, operation of water boilers by mode maps.
