Uzbekistan, Iran agree to improve logistics, transportation services

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 6. Uzbekistan's Uztextileprom association and the largest Iranian oil refining companies, Rezel Catalyst Corporation and Pasargad Energy Development Company have reached several agreements, Trend reports.

During the meeting between the leaderships of the companies and Uzbek association it has been decided to implement various projects in the textile industry.

The parties also agreed to provide logistics services, as well as storage and transportation services for textile products exported to Iran from Uzbekistan.

The parties shared their presentations and information each other about their respective areas of activity. The Iranian partners provided detailed information about important steps in the production of petroleum products, such as polyester, polyamide, and PET, which are essential for textile production. They also discussed the logistics expertise accumulated through their company's operations.

Meanwhile, Iran and Uzbekistan have already worked out a roadmap for cooperation in oil, gas and petrochemical industries.

On June 18, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his accompanying delegation visited Tehran. During the visit, 10 cooperation documents and 1 joint statement were signed between the two countries.
