TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 22. Uzbekistan and Singapore reached an agreement on increasing cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics, petrochemicals, renewable energy, urban development, and infrastructure, Trend reports.

The news followed a recent meeting between Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, Oybek Khamraev, and the CEO of Surbana Jurong Group, Singapore's largest consulting company in the fields of urban planning and infrastructure, Sean Chiao.

During the meeting, the parties focused on the implementation of current projects in the areas of water supply and water resources management, as well as prioritizing areas for further cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics, petrochemicals, renewable energy, urban development, and infrastructure.

Surbana Jurong Group has more than 120 offices in 40 countries and a total staff of 16,000 employees. As of today, the company has implemented over 16,000 projects.

Over the past two years, significant agreements have been reached at high-level meetings with Saudi Arabia, France, Hungary, Singapore, Egypt, Germany, China, Italy, Qatar, and other countries.

There are also positive developments in cooperation with Hungary, Pakistan, Thailand, the Czech Republic, and Japan in terms of attracting investments. Last year, only $40 million of investments were attracted from these countries, and this year this figure has increased to $450 million.
