BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 30. Uzbekistan’s exported goods to the EU member states amounted to 423.46 million euros from January through August 2023, which is 10 percent less than in the same period of 2022 (471.21 million euros), a source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
The volume of exports is distributed as follows:
Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material - 171.9 million euros
Chemical products - 162 million euros
Food and live animals - 24.5 million euros
Miscellaneous manufactured articles - 20.5 million euros
Crude materials, inedible, except fuels - 20 million euros
Machinery and transport equipment - 10.2 million euros
Mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials - 9.6 million euros
Commodities and transactions not classified elsewhere in the Standard International Trade Classification - 3.5 million euros
Animal and vegetable oils, fats and waxes - 514,468 euros
Beverages and tobacco - 358,914 euros
The overall trade exchange between Uzbekistan and EU member states reached a total of more than 2.95 billion euros from January through July 2023.
During the reporting period, the trade volume between Uzbekistan and EU countries surged by 25.75 percent in contrast to the initial 7 months of the year prior (2.35 billion euros).
The trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the EU countries reached 4.61 billion euros last year, which is 41 percent more than in 2021, when it amounted to 2.77 billion euros.
