TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 23. Accounting for a number of taxes in Uzbekistan will be compiled automatically starting January 1, 2024, Trend reports.

As per the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, business owners will have the choice to activate document generation for value-added tax (VAT), turnover tax, as well as property and land taxes for legal entities, and request appeals as needed.

Documents will be generated automatically, utilizing both internal sources such as the taxpayer's financial records, ASF data, online transactions, and external sources from other government agencies.

The resulting reports will be accessible in the taxpayer's personal account. In the event of any objections, the taxpayer can submit a revised version to the tax authorities within the legally specified timeframe.

Meanwhile, the number of people paying VAT in Uzbekistan amounted to 190,000 from January through September 2023.

The number of tax payers as of September 2023 is 9.19 percent, or 15,993 people more than at the beginning of the year.

The change can be accounted for by the fact that the VAT has been reduced from 15 percent to 12 percent since the beginning of 2023.
