Uzbekistan's Click payment sees increased transaction volume

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, March 2. The total turnover of Uzbek Click payment organization's transactions amounted to 60 trillion soums ($4.7 billion) in 2023, which is 45 percent more year-on-year, Trend reports.

According to HUMO payment system's reports, Click's share among non-banking mobile applications is the largest and amounts to 41.6 percent.

The company's net income increased by 60 percent in 2023.

The number of Click accounts increased by more than 25 percent in just one year and surpassed the 15 million mark.

More than 2 million users log into Click Up per day on average.

The number of identified users in Click Up is more than 2 million at the end of February 2024.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan will transform Click payment organization into a joint stock company.

Earlier in November 2023, Uzbekistan's President signed a decree "On measures to strengthen the protection of the rights of consumers of digital products (services) and fight against offenses committed through digital technologies".

According to this decree, payment system operators and payment organizations will be able to operate exclusively in the form of a joint stock company from July 1, 2024.
