TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 2. Uzbekistan's Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) fulfilled all production indicators by 120.3 percent from January through February 2024, Trend reports.
According to the AMMC, the prediction for ore mining at the
Kalmakyr mine was 100 percent met, with a significant growth rate
of +120 percent.
Copper raw material processing grew by 108.9 percent, with Copper
Processing Plant-2 meeting 107.5 percent of the target. From
January to February of this year, the forecast for copper cathode
production from its own raw materials was met 100 percent.
The production of metallic zinc from internal sources exceeded expectations by reaching 104.2 percent.
Sulfuric acid production experienced a growth rate of +109.5 percent during this period, with the Copper Smelting Plant staff achieving 100.2 percent of the forecast.
The Handiza ore mining department successfully fulfilled tasks related to polymetallic ore extraction (103.1 percent), processing (100.8 percent), and zinc concentrate zinc content (109.5 percent).
Meanwhile, AMMC manufactured industrial products worth 31.6 trillion soums ($2.5 billion) in 2023. The forecast in this direction was fulfilled by 106.1 percent.
