TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 19. Latvian SmartLynx Airlines, the UK's Titan Airways, and Uzbekistan's FlyKhiva have launched cargo flights to Navoi (Uzbekistan), Uzbekistan Airports told Trend.

The UK Titan Airways made the first charter cargo flight on the Chongqing (China) - Navoi (Uzbekistan) - London (UK) route on September 12 this year. The flights from China to the UK are scheduled to be operated four times a week by Airbus 330 freighters with a technical stopover in Navoi.

On September 17, 2024, Latvian SmartLynx Airlines made the first charter cargo flight on the Varna (Bulgaria) - Navoi (Uzbekistan) - Dhaka (Bangladesh) route. The flights from Bulgaria to Bangladesh with a technical stopover in Navoi are planned to be performed by Airbus-321 cargo aircraft. A series of seven charter flights is planned from September 16 to 27.

On September 18, Uzbekistan's FlyKhiva airline launched charter flights on the Ezhou (China) - Liege (Belgium) route, also with a technical stop in Navoi. The flights will be operated by Boeing 767-300 type aircraft with a payload of up to 50 tons. At the initial stage, flights will be operated four times a week.

Meanwhile, during the meeting of Uzbekistan's Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov with German Ambassador Manfred Huterer, the minister of transport expressed hope for the speedy restoration of flights of German airline Lufthansa to Uzbekistan.

The sides also discussed achievements and promising plans for the future as a result of effective cooperation established between the two states during the meeting.
