The Labor and Social Security Institute of Iran has set up a Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) course, said the director of the institute here on Saturday.
Mohammad-Reza Sepehri told ISNA news agency that the course is being held under the supervision of the International Labor Organization.
Similar courses are currently being held in 90 countries and 150,000 people are taking part in them. 400 institutes around the world are holding these courses and 3,500 tutors have been trained to teach them.
He pointed out that this course is not only for individuals who want to start a business, but also for businesses that want to improve their performance.
The Start and Improve Your Business Program is a system of inter-related practical management-skills training packages, providing comprehensive business-management training and non-financial support to the owners of small and growth-oriented small and medium enterprises.
It encompasses a range of cost-effective and practical training, monitoring and evaluation methodologies and instruments. The system is designed and continues to be adapted in order to meet the management training needs of potential and existing small business owners.
