Iran tests radar system

Iran tested the reception power of its radar systems under military training codenamed "Modafeane Asemane Vilayet 2," the Mehr news agency reported today.

"We have already finalized the first phase of the two-day training," General Ali Mogisa said. 

According to the official, the Islamic Revolution Guard's Air Force under the command of the Hatamul-Anbiyya Headquarters defended several points in the course of the first phase.

"The reception power of the radar systems was tested with mobile and stationary radars," he said. "The military has tested the Iranian radars and Kasta radar systems."

The Iranian armed forces and Islamic Revolution Guard Air Force held the joint military training under the code name Modafeane Asemane Vilayet 2. The first training was in September 2008.

According to Mogisa, the second phase of the training is under preparation and will launch in several days.
