Iran's 1st post-revolution cultural week held in Canada
Iran's first cultural week after the Islamic Revolution was held in the Canadian city of Toronto, it was reported on Sunday.
The cultural week was held to present the true image of the Islamic Iran which is completely opposite to what had been portrayed by certain Western countries, a statement by the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization said, IRNA reported.
Works of Iran's professional photographers were displayed during the event along with a variety of different costumes, music, foods and souvenirs from every part of Iran.
Attracting foreign tourists to Iran through introducing the country's rich culture was another major goal of holding the cultural event in Canada, said the statement.
