Iranian wrestlers have routed out all their rivals to face Russia in the final of the Greco-Roman Wrestling World Championships in Belarus, Press TV reported.

Iran's Greco-Roman team thrashed South Korea 6-1 in the first clash and hammered the Cubans 7-0 in the second encounter.

The defending champion then trounced Turkey and Belarus 6-1 in Minsk on Saturday to book a place in the final.

The world's best ten teams are participating in two groups in the event. Iran won the Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship for the first time in Armenia last year.

The head coach of the Iranian outfit, Mohammad Banna, said prior to the games that Iran would defend its title in this edition of the event.

He further noted that the team's priority is to acquire quota places which will qualify Iranian wrestlers for the 2012 London Olympic Games.

The Iranian team faces Russia in the final of the event on Sunday.
