Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said on Sunday that Iran has received a new letter from EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton and is to reply it after hearing the views of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, IRNA reported.

Speaking to reporters, he said Iran's Foreign Ministry in contribution with Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) has provided a reply to that letter and only awaits to hear final views of President Ahmadinejad to this effect.

He also said that the Iranian president is to pay an official visit to Turkey within coming weeks.

President Ahamdnejad has agreed to attend the meeting of least developed countries in Turkey, Salehi said.
