Several tremors jolts Iran

A relatively strong tremor measuring 5.3 on Richter scale jolted surrounding areas of Peer city in mid-south province of Fars on Wednesday morning, IRNA reported.

According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 06:22 hours local time ( 02:52 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 28.06 degrees latitude and 54.29 degrees longitude.

There is no immediate report on possible casualties or damage.

Also an earthquake measuring 3.9 on Richter scale jolted surrounding areas of Hendorabi Island in littoral province of Hormuzgan on Wednesday morning.

According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 04:28 hours local time (00:58 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 26.78 degrees latitude and 53.75 degrees longitude.

A relatively mild tremor measuring 3.6 on Richter scale jolted Sultanabad in Khorasan Razavi province on Tuesday late night.

According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 23:38 hours local time (20:08 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 36.45 degrees latitude and 58.34 degrees longitude.
