Some 590 Iranian companies were registered in Turkey in 2011, the highest number among the total 3,278 companies which were registered in Turkey last year, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey reported.
The number of registered Iranian companies showed 41 percent rise year on year. Germany and Britain ranked next in terms of the number of registered companies.
Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said on January 5 that the country's trade volume with neighboring Turkey will surpass $15 billion in 2012.
Mr Salehi said Iran and Turkey are aiming for an annual trade volume of over $30 billion in the near future.
The volume of bilateral trade between Tehran and Ankara stood at $10.561 billion during the first eight months of 2011.
