The value of Iran's non-oil exports (including gas condensates) for the first ten months of the current calendar year (ended on January 20) hit $39 billion, the managing director of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) Hamid Safdel said on Saturday.
The exported goods amounted to 62 million tons in weight, showing a 7 percent rise compared to the same period of last year, the TPOI head Hamid Safdel added, IRNA news agency reported.
The Iranian Customs Administration has released a report on the Islamic Republic's trade during the first 10 months of the current calendar year, showing that the value of non-oil exports has been increased compared to the same period of last year.
The report says that the ratio of non-oil exports (including gas condensates) to imports hit the figure of 0.7, indicating that imports have declined and exports have increased during the mentioned period.
Meanwhile, imports stood at 30,607 in weight and 50.369 billion in value in the current year's first 10 months. The figures were 37,603 tons and 53.445 billion for the same period of last year, respectively.
The UAE, China, South Korea, Germany, Turkey were the main exporters of goods to Iran with 32.68 percent, 11.61 percent, 7.74 percent, 5.91 percent, and 5.51 percent of share respectively, leaving 36.55 percent of share in total exports to Iran to other countries.
According to the report, China, Iraq, the UAE, India and Afghanistan were the main importers of Iranian goods with 17.15 percent, 14.7 percent, 14.3 percent, 8.48 percent and 6.17 percent, respectively.
